With over 40 years of experience in the world of pastry, Ibrahem Habib is the heart and soul of Sukkara. Originally from Cairo, Egypt, Ibrahem’s culinary journey began at a culinary institute in Luxor. His career spans across Egypt, Kuwait, and Saudi Arabia, where he honed his craft at prestigious hotels and catering companies. After relocating to the United States in the late 90s, Ibrahem continued to inspire through his work as a pastry chef, eventually opening his own pastry shop, which ran successfully for over a decade. Today, he brings his wealth of expertise, creativity, and love for pastry to Sukkara, where he is proud to work alongside his daughter to create desserts that celebrate their Egyptian-American heritage.

For Hajar Habib, pastry is more than just a craft—it’s a family tradition. Growing up in her father’s bakery, Hajar has always been deeply connected to the world of desserts. With a background in Economics and Business, she brings a unique perspective to Sukkara, merging her business acumen with her passion for creativity. Hajar is dedicated to honoring her Egyptian-American roots through Sukkara’s offerings, ensuring every dessert tells a story of heritage and innovation. As co-owner of Sukkara, she works closely with her father, Ibrahem, to bring their vision of a sweet, unforgettable experience to life for every customer.
